How do you get from the idea to the finished product?

On 19th June 2019, Jens Begemann will be speaking at Wedel University of Applied Sciences (called Wedel UAS in the following) about the topic of "Sensor development at TWK in Wedel – from the idea to the finished product. A short journey through the development process of a sensor system." The presentation is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. in auditorium 5.

About the presentation
With TWK-ELEKTRONIK GmbH, Wedel UAS has a highly-specialised company for sensor technology amongst its partners - and that right on its doorstep. This colloquium is intended to provide a brief insight into the development of a sensor system for industrial applications.

Starting with an idea, the presentation will portray the further course, from implementation in the wiring diagram and the layout of the printed circuit board up to and including the development of sensor firmware and product maturity. The speaker will provide an overview of the individual stations in the development of such a system. The form that the daily work of a development engineer can assume will be shown specifically using the example of an inclinometer with sensor data fusion and the influence of two master theses from Wedel UAS.

About the speaker
Jens Begemann is a Wedel UAS alumnus and has been working as a development engineer at TWK since 2012. After his Bachelor of Science in technical computer science, he concluded his study programme at Wedel UAS with a Master of Science in computer science.
