The new incremental sensor from TWK: model series HOI

The rotary pulse encoder HOI combines the high resolution and accuracy of visual rotary encoders with the robust and inexpensive design of magnetic rotary encoders in a single product. Thanks to its stainless and magnetic steel housing, it is resistant to external magnetic fields. And optimally suitable for use in environments with strong external magnetic fields such as those that occur in the vicinity of electric motors or generators, for instance. Further areas in which the HOI can be used include construction machines, slip ring bodies, wind turbines, elevators, oil and gas systems and many other applications in which precise positioning is required. The HOI is equipped with outputs A, B, Z as well as their inverted signals. It is optionally available with HTL and TTL signal forms. The sensor shaft is designed for axial and radial shaft loads of 250 N so that the sensor can also be used under extreme conditions. The IP protection class of the HOI is IP65; it is optionally available in IP69k. The HOI covers an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. It can also be optionally designed as a safety version with redundant set-up including self-diagnosis for SIL2-(IEC 61508) and PLd‑(EN13849) applications.
